Archaeology

Documentation can be produced on four levels:

  1. 3D survey database
  2. Standard documentation
    1. Elevations with wall structure
    2. Ground plans
    3. Cross-sections with views
    4. Dimensioning of all drawings
  3. 3D surface model
  4. 3D polygonal model

Spatial scanning is vital in documenting archaeological sites due to the speed of fieldwork, after which all the work can be done in the office. It is especially important when archaeological finds are a consequence of construction work. In such a case, it will considerably speed up archaeological research work, thus decreasing the possibility of a halt and material loss due to the delay in construction work. Spatial scanning has proved to be of multiple benefit in these cases.
